Philadelphia Dietetic Association (PDA) & Delaware Valley Chapter Society for Nutrition Education (DVCSNE) invites you to an informative professional development program and dinner event focused on the thriving agricultural community in the Philadelphia region.

Learn how farmers and nutrition experts can connect. Understand how to support sustainable agriculture in our area.

The expert speakers for this event include:
  • Tegan Hagy – Farm to School Program Coordinator at The Food Trust. Tegan will discuss how the Food Trust has been working with communities across the mid-Atlantic region to help establish farm to school programs. Learn how these programs are impacting consumers.
  • Marilyn Anthony - Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture. Marilyn will place local agriculture in context from a supply-side perspective and discuss the urgent need for farmers, along with the emerging new definition of intensively cultivated small farms.
  • Rachel Milenbach - Executive Director of Community Programs at Weavers Way. Rachel will provide an overview of Weavers Way's history and its current array of educational programs/farming ventures.
